Clay Pigeon Shooting.
Instruction in clay pigeon shooting is not only available for those that just want to learn a new sport or pastime but also for those who want improve their all round shooting ability.
For the novice shooter we offer the most comprehensive coaching from instructors who have been trained and approved by the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association which is the government recognised body for this sport.
Instruction by the hour or “have a go” days can be arranged to suit your individual requirements and can be tailored to cater for individual head-to-head tuition or larger groups.
A typical introductory lesson for the complete novice will be covered by two sessions; the “off range lesson” and the “on range lesson”, which can be taken separately or on the same day.
The “off range lesson will include the following:
• Introduction
• Shotgun principles and safety
• Gun handling
• Dominant eye check
• Stance
• Gun fitting
• Gun mount
• Explanation of “on range lesson”
The “on range lesson” will include the following:
• Range safety
• See and discuss the target
• Stance
• Dry shooting
• Shooting with live cartridges
• Diagnosis and correction of faults
• Feedback and progression
Guns, personal protection equipment and clothing can be provided on the day if required. Accommodation and lunch from a picnic to a seven course meal can be arranged upon request to suit your requirements.
For the more experienced shooter who needs to iron out a few problems we can offer an experienced and qualified coach by the hour, half day or full day to diagnose and rectify any faults.
